Privacy, in plain words.

Astor Academy doesn't collect anything about you. Here is what that means.

No accounts

There is no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email, age or anything else.

No tracking

No analytics, no ads, no tracking cookies and no tracking pixels. Search runs inside your browser. The fonts and scripts are stored on this site, so a page doesn't call Google Fonts or any other outside service to load.

Your progress stays on your device

Progress, bookmarks, recently read books and your trivia rank are saved only in this browser's local storage, on this device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser data erases them, and we have no copy to restore.

Links to other sites

Sources and library texts link out to other sites, such as doi.org, gutenberg.org, sefaria.org and britannica.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.

Hosting

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages sees the basic details of each request, such as your IP address. Astor doesn't use them to track or profile anyone.

Astor Kids

Nothing about children is collected or sent anywhere. Kids lessons have no sign-up, no typing boxes, no chat and no ads.

Pip's stars and lesson progress are saved only in the browser on that device. Clearing browser data erases them.
